Alison Hawkins

    Alison Hawkins is a children’s book illustrator and author who loves to explore color and hand lettering, as well as experiment with animation. She approaches art with a sense of humor and whimsy. She is the illustrator of Angela Shanté’s The Noisy Classroom, The Noisy Classroom Goes to the Museum, Little People, Big Dreams’ Nelson Mandela, and The Super Gross early reader series. The first book she wrote and illustrated for kids is titled Time to Go, Larry. Some of her clients include American Greetings, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Target, and Discover Durham. When she is not sketching, you can find Alison cooking at home, hitting up a favorite coffee shop, or exploring local hiking trails.
